Green Griffins rush for Western Bowl
HAMILTON — They saved the best for last, two titans going toe to toe with Windsor Herman emerging as the last man standing.
In a game dominated by the run, the Green Griffins outlasted Huron Heights, 13-7, to claim the Western Bowl.
The teams combined for 60 rushing attempts with close to 300 yards along the ground produced.
Michael Beale scored the game’s first major as Herman led 13-0 after three quarters.
In the final period, Aiden Mielczarek broke through with a 45-yard rushing touchdown. The Warriors turned the ball over twice on downs and committed 10 penalties.
