Cuddy Shark: These Warriors are cream of crop
The Huron Heights Warriors have at last ascended to the ranks of Metro Bowl champions. Damn, they’re even getting the champions’ parade treatment. It’s a good week to be a Huron Heights Warrior, to be sure, although it’s not certain if the Town of Newmarket will permit a revisit to the time-honoured tradition of a ride on fire trucks through the streets.

The Huron Heights Warriors beat the Don Bosco Eagles in 28-14 in the Metro Bowl at Rogers Centre on Tuesday night. Despite the defeat mayor Rob Ford was proud of his football team.

The Newmarket school made the most of sloppy Eagles’ ball handling, including five first-half turnovers, to cart off its first Metro Bowl title with a 28-14 victory in the 31st Metro Bowl Tuesday night at the Rogers Centre in Toronto.
